The Living Portrait of NYC

Debuted in Manhattan’s Flatiron District in September 2022, offering visitors a unique multimedia exhibition that distilled the essence of New York City and its people. Spanning multiple rooms, the immersive experience captured the vibrancy, diversity, and rhythm of the city over the course of 24 hours.

In collaboration with Radical Media and Treatment Studios, I was commissioned to compose an evocative score with immersive sound design that would enhance the visual storytelling and bring the city’s energy to life.

To create a rich and authentic auditory experience, interviews with New Yorkers were conducted over Zoom, carefully curated, and layered with music and sound design. The result was a deeply engaging aural landscape—one that resonated with the heartbeat of the city, blending voices, ambient sounds, and melodies into a thoughtful sonic portrait of New York.
